After 6 years of running my Aussie locker in the front end, with the first 3 years on 37's and the last 3 years on 40's, something finally gave. I'll be tearing into this week. I picked up a Detroit to replace it with. I'll post some pics up as I tear into and find out what broke. Also going to be installing the Marlin 25mm steering pin kit with oversized trunions while I'm in there.

Well, got my front axle tore apart. Good news, nothing was broke. trunions were in perfect shape, Aussie locker is in perfect shape with pins still intact, and 30 spline Bobby Longs are still in great shape. Not sure what the popping sound was, but I basically just tore my axle down to find out everything is in good shape. I'm still going to swap out the parts I got anyways since it's all going to be an upgrade. Got the steering arms off and 25mm Pins from Marlin pressed in. also got the third out and ready to swap the Detroit into it.

I loved those 25mm pins on my first toy axle that is now in Daves truck. They are comparable to dana 60 kingpins!
